私三船寄道の40枚目のフルアルバムをお届けする。前作が1月14日のリリースなので、約1ヶ月ぶりのリリースとなる。タイトルは"I Wrestle"と言う。"私は格闘する"と言う意味。
前作で若干ネガティブ過ぎてお蔵入りしていたリリックたちを大解放し、さらにもう声以外は特に聴かせようとも思わない、と言うのをやった。今作では、リリックは全部新しいものを書き下ろしてさらに全部英語詞にした。
ディストリビューターにCD Babyを利用し、全世界に音源を配信する際はもともと日本語だったタイトルも英語表記に直して発表しているのだけど、今回はあえて母国語でない英語だけで全編通した。
自分が今作っている音楽のどこが一番の聴きどころかというと、それはもちろんエディット感強めのビートプロダクションもそうなのだけど、自分の声と歌詞だった。その意味で、自分はパフォーマーであるという部分は貫いてきたつもりだった。全世界配信対応でも、自分の話して居る日本語を(誤解を恐れずに言えば)エキゾチックな言葉だなぁぐらいに聴いてもらえたらそれでいい気がしていた。
その日本語詞だけれども、聴いてくれた日本語圏以外の方に、これは何を話して居るんだ??と訊かれることがあった。レーベル付きのアーティストの方には、歌詞と配信を同期させて居る人も多いのだけど、その歌詞のアップロードの仕方がわからなかったし、いっそのこと第一外国語である英語を使って、アルバムを制作してしまってもいいのではないかと思ったのだ。
その部分が成功して居るかどうかはわからない。発音とか文法とか、きっとおかしいだろう。でもまあ、それも込みで。外国人が不慣れな母国語を使っていやがるぜ、ヘンテコだなあ、みたいなぐらいに思って聴いてもらえたらそれで大丈夫だ。
トラックに関しては、もっとフィルターを多用したアルバムにするつもりだったのだけど、その目論見自体は外れに外れ、そうはならなかった。前作までのような、ビットクラッシャー縛りとか、ビートがある曲はダブテクノ縛りとか、そう言う特記事項こそ無いが、もともと小さいなりだった音のパーツをMix&Masteringで持ち上げるのはやめている。小さい音は遠くで聞こえるままで良いと思いながら作った。小さい音が聴きたかったんだと思う。あんまりストレスのない音が聴きたかった。
と言うことで、今作もお楽しみいただけたら幸いである。Bon Voyage.


I will deliver the 40th full album of my 3rd ship. Since the previous work is a release on January 14, it will be released for the first time in about a month. The title says "I Wrestle". I mean to fight.
I released a lot of lyrics that were somewhat negative in the previous work and entered the warehouse, and I said that I would not even want to hear anything other than voice. In this work, Lyric wrote everything new and made it all English.
When distributing sound sources to the whole world by using CD Baby to distributor, although I originally published the title which was Japanese as an English notation, this time dared to do the whole story only in English which is not my mother tongue.
Where I heard the most of the music I'm making now is far from being the best listening, it is not only a beat production with a strong sense of edit, but it was my voice and lyrics. In that sense, I thought that I was a performer by myself. Even with global delivery correspondence, I felt good with it as long as I heard about Japanese that I am talking about (if not to be afraid of misunderstanding) exotic words.
That Japanese lyric, but sometimes I was asked to anyone other than the Japanese-speaking world that I listened to, what was this talking about? There are many people who are synchronized with lyrics and delivery to artists with labels, but I did not know how to upload the lyrics, yet I used English, which is the first foreign language, to make an album I thought that it might be good to produce.
I do not know if that part is successful. Sounds or grammar, it probably will be funny. But well, that also included. Foreigners may be using unfamiliar mother tongue. If you listen to it as if it is hento, it is okay with that.
Regarding the truck, I was going to make an album with more filtering, but the prospect itself was out of office and it did not become so. Like the previous work, like tying up a bit crusher, or songs with beats tied up Dabutekuno, there is no special mention so, but stopping to lift the parts of the sound that was originally smaller by Mix & Mastering. I made small sounds while thinking that it would be good to hear in the distance. I think I wanted to hear a small sound. I wanted to listen to sounds that were not stressful.
