Bandcamp上では54枚目となるLP"Hindsight"をお届けする。タイトルは日本で言うと、「思い出補正」と言う意味がある。
前作が2023年2月26日にリリースされていて、今作が12月31日のリリースとなった。10ヶ月でフルアルバムが出せていると言うのも然りだが、内容が"Localization 2"にならなくてよかったと思っている。
前作のアルバムでAfrobeatsをこれからやっていくつもりであることを予告したのだが、今回はシングルの段階からAforbeatsを全面的に採用していて、シングル3枚に加え、アルバム用の歌物"Ramsar Site"はAfroswingを援用した。また、Bandcamp上では配信していないカバーシングル"Heaven Can Wait"、"Shipbuilding"など、ジャズを自分なりに解釈した曲を作ってきたこともあり、ジャズを自分なりのオリジナル楽曲として作ってみたいと思ったと言うのはあり、1曲作った。
昔は良かったと言う言説を自分は使ったことがない。が、昔のこと・・・そもそもそんなに昔のことを思い出さなくなったなと言うのが最近の正直な感想で、どうして「思い出補正」なる言葉が流行っているのか、自分には正直わからない。流行っているので、では私がこのタイトルを自分のアルバムに据え、全然懐古主義的な点が見当たらないアルバムを作ったら、"Hindisght"なる言葉の見え方も変わるのかなと思った・・・気がする。私は今のところ、今が一番いいなと思っていて、戻りたい過去はない。幸せなんだろうな、私は。

Bandcamp is pleased to present "Hindsight", the 54th LP on Bandcamp. The title means "memory correction" in Japanese.
It's a good thing that this album is not "Localization 2", as the previous one was released on February 26, 2023, and the current one on December 31, 2023.
The last album was a preview of the Afrobeats we were going to do, and this time we went all in on Afrobeats from the singles stage, with three singles, plus the album song "Ramsar Site", which is Afroswing-assisted. I have also made a cover single "Heaven Can Wait" and "Shipbuilding," which are not available on Bandcamp, as well as other songs that are my interpretation of jazz, and I wanted to make my own original jazz music.
I have never used the discourse that the old days were good. I honestly don't know why the term "memory correction" is so popular these days. I honestly do not know why the word "memory correction" is in vogue. Since it is in vogue, I thought that if I made an album with this title, which has nothing nostalgic about it, the word "Hindisght" would look different...I guess. I am happy with the present, and there is nothing in the past that I want to go back to. I am happy, I guess.
