わたくし三船寄道の6枚目のフルアルバムをお届けする。前作"過去"が2017年12月20日リリースなので、4週間弱振りのリリースとなる。
タイトルは"Bedford-Stuyvesant"という。アルファベットを使ったタイトルを付けるのは初めて。これはBrooklynに実在する地名だ。日本のガイドブック的なものを見ると、ブルックリンの中でも治安が悪いところだから近づかない方がよい、と大抵の物で書かれているのだけれど、中には美大と画材屋がたくさんあったり、結構いい感じのカフェやレストランがあったりして、歩き甲斐はあるところだった。どうして今回のアルバムがBedford-Stuyvesant"なのか、ということだけれども、特に理由はない。作り始めた当初は"繋がっていない"とか"知りたくない"とか"関心が持てない"ということをちゃんと言うためのアルバムにしようと思っていて、その部分はその通りできているのだけど、特にこのタイトルとの結びつきは無い気がする。
そしてこの曲の分量である。19曲も入っている。6曲はビートが強めに入っていて、あとの13曲はほぼ自分の声しか入っていない。
ビートの曲は、Unfiltered AudioのSandman Proというディレイに特化したエフェクターを駆使して、いわゆるDub-Techno的な音響構築を目指した。
ほぼ自分の声の曲は先に自分の声、リリックの朗読を3テイク程録音し、それに音を足したり足さなかったりして、そのまま録音物として提出してみたものだ。声の部分は結構過剰にエフェクターをかけて破壊して、何を言っているのかが分からない程度には破壊した。ここの13曲のリリックは決して新しいものばかりではなく、古いストックからもいくつか引っ張り出してきたのだけれど、結構・・・バイオレントな表現も散見され(自分にしては)、そのまま聴かせたくなかったというのがあった。あと、もっともっと声っぽい音楽を作りたかったというのもある。その辺りは曖昧だ。
Bjorkの"Medulla"とか、Laura Nyroの"New York Tendaberry"のことは考えていたと思う。
ほぼ声のだけの曲は1曲がとても短いけども、19曲トータルの長さはいつもより少しだけ長めだ。もっとなんだか、メモ書き程度で終わってしまう曲があっても構わないんだろなあとはずっと思っていた。
情報量が全体的に少なめな分、Mix & Masteringは普段より時間がかかっているし、今回の一番の聴きところは意外とその辺なのかな、とも思ったり。

I will deliver the sixth full album of me. Since the previous work "past" is released on December 20, 2017, it will be released for less than four weeks.
The title is "Bedford-Stuyvesant". It is the first time to put a title using the alphabet. This is the actual place name in Brooklyn. Looking at Japanese guidebook things, it is written in most things that it is better not to approach from Brooklyn as security is bad, but there are lots of art galleries and painting shops inside There were fairly good cafés and restaurants, and there was plenty of walking. Although it is said that this album is Bedford - Stuyvesant, there is no particular reason.When I started making it properly saying "I am not connected", "I do not want to know" or "I can not care" I thought that it would be an album for, and that part was able to do as it is, but I feel that there is no connection with this title, in particular.
And it is the quantity of this song. It also contains 19 songs. The six songs have strong beat, and the remaining 13 songs contain almost their own voice.
Beat's song aimed at so-called Dub-Techno-like acoustic construction by making full use of the delay-specific effector of Unfiltered Audio's Sandman Pro.
Almost my song's voice was recorded by about 3 Takes of my voice, lyric reading, I added it to it and added it as a recording, as it was. The part of the voice quite excessively destroyed by putting an effector and destroyed to the extent that I do not know what you are saying. Lyrics of 13 songs here are not only new ones but have also pulled out some from the old stock, but quite ... well violent expressions are scattered (for myself), I want to listen as it is There was that there was not. Also, I also wanted to make music that is more voiced. The neighborhood is ambiguous.
I think that I thought about Bjork's "Medulla" or Laura Nyro's "New York Tendaberry".
One song is very short, but the length of the total of 19 songs is slightly longer than usual. I have always thought that I do not mind if there are songs that end in a little memorandum.
As the amount of information is small overall, Mix & Mastering takes more time than usual, and I think that the best place to listen to this time is unexpectedly nearby.
